Children's Day PLAY DATE

Apparently it was Children's Day here yesterday. I wasn't aware of it.

Haseena and I had already arranged to meet up earlier last week - we haven't seen each other for almost a year!

Remember Suhana - Ray's 1st kiss?

She's all grown up now... like Ray! How quickly these bubs grow! At just 2 months older than Ray, she's very independent and agile. She's climbing, talking, riding, pushing ... like a big girl already! Maybe it's because she's got an 8 yr old brother to look up to... plus they say girls develop faster.

We took a cab to Haseena's house in the afternoon. She had recently upgraded to a villa (from a unit) at the Waterfront in Phu My Hung. It's quite a distance (45 mins) from our place, hence, we never get to meet up as often as we hope to.

Then we took the kids to an indoor play area nearby.

Suhana is familiar with this playground because her parents take her every week and I was really impressed with how fast she was climbing, sliding, tackling every obstacle.

Ray was a bit slower as he tried to follow behind his friend but after going down the slide twice, you could see he was still scared and he refused to go down again after.

Anyhow, the kids had a blast...

After that, we went back to Haseena's house for afternoon tea. Suraan, Suhana's brother had returned from school and it was really nice to see how close the siblings are despite the age gap.

Suraan took out his toy cars so all could play together

And then we went outside to have a stroll around the compound.

They look soooo adorable together! Like little people!

Ray crashed as soon as we got in the cab... but the day wasn't over for us. Shermi brought Yuthara (who had just turned 2) over for dinner. Yuthara hardly goes out because both her parents are at work during the day and she stays home with a Vietnamese nanny so she was super clingy to her mom. Hopefully, she'll start warming up to us more now that they've moved close by and I can arrange for her and the maid to come over during the day when her parents are at work.
PS: I was too tired by then and forgot to take my camera out for some pictures!
