this is Rayhan's baby acne at its worst - and of all the luck, it happened on the day that we went out with the family to Hyatt for his 1st month "celebration".
As you can see, his whole face was covered with ugly red bumps that were pus-sing. It was painful for me more than anything (apparently, baby doesnt feel any discomfort or notice it at all) and I was worried what the folks (or anyone else for the matter) would think.
For obvious reasons, we din take any pics that day with the family at all although I took a few pics for me to keep as future reference. It's almost as if he knew and was trying to hide from the camera.

He covered his face in almost all the pics.
Thankfully, it disappeared within 3 days after ... so it was clear smooth baby skin again!
It seems to be a recurring issue though... not as extreme like what you see in the picture above, just the occasional few red spots that have been popping up now and then ... and it disappears as quickly as it appears (actually it is more like a painful 1 or 2 days for me).
Apparently, baby acne will clear up on its own between 4 - 6 months. Patience is the best medicine as everywhere on the web, including the doctor's advice, is not to do anything about it and to leave the baby's skin alone. Of cos, it's easier said than done. I can't even resist not doing something when I get a single spot on my face!
PS: The term that the pediatrician gave is erythema neonatorum.
