Special thanks to V who threw a surprise baby shower for me... Of course someone in the group had to spoil the surprise (this time it was Emile & Ira) so I found out about it the day before.
There was lots of yummy food - pasta (Emile), lamb curry & chicken burgers (Chawla), Vietnamese stew (Sylvain), Annam roast chicken (Nash), sandwiches - cheese & meat (Rana) and plenty of alcohol (including Caipirinha that Aman made). It felt like a nice Sunday potluck party.
Then it was Game Time!
V was the Game Master
First game - Guess whose Poop!
HAHA... NOT... It was "Guess What Chocolate"
Gabby got so excited and put his nose a little too close
- well actually Emile dunked his face into the diaper
The in-laws joined in too and ended up winning the game!
Meanwhile, the boys were taking the piss out of my shower gift
Next game - Pictionary (Baby Terms). It was Boys Vs Girls
The boys took the game very seriously and tried to distract us so we couldn't win
Whenever it was their turn, everyone would stand and crowd around the board like it was a matter of life and death
Even Uncle took his turn seriously...
Or maybe not...Boobies? Nipples??
Uncle and Aunty were probably the most intense and vocal in the game...
Everyone had a blast - shouting, yelling, laughing. I think the kids felt left out.
The boys were obviously sore losers and it proves they have much to learn when it comes to baby stuff.
Last Game - Guess how much toilet roll is required to wrap around my tum-tum
Surprisingly, some of them came pretty close
Before long, I got ambushed as everyone tried to mummify me
I laughed so hard I could go into labour - had tissue all over including under both my armpits!

And the most original gift goes to Sylvain/Nichole:
- 2 packets of condoms, some aspirin, couple of tampons, hair gel, pregnancy test kit, warming lubricant and a Porno DVD (as well as a pair of baby socks)!
Peanut and I are feeling soooo loved!
