Your Cake Countdown

9 months to go
- Coming up with design ideas as well as a short list of professional cake designers

8 months to go
- Being able to draw in your mind a pretty clear picture of your dream wedding cake and narrow down your list of potential designers
will it be traditional tiered fruitcake, a farandole of mini cupcakes or a decadent column of chocolate mud cake?

6 months to go
- Go through all the nitty gritty with your cake designer
you need to consider cake type, design, decorations as well as, wedding date, intended budget, venue address, no. of guests and delivery time.

3 months to go
- think outside the cake
check with your venue that they can provide a cake table and knife for your big day.

1 month to go
- check, double check and triple check
confirm all details with your cake designer - from the final payment dates to the delivery instructions

The Day After
- enjoy the first day of your honeymoon and let your mom or bridesmaids do the work
they may like to send pieces of your wedding cake in cute boxes to those who couldnt join in the celebration. You might also ask them to freeze the top tier of your cake. It's easy! Just remove any sugar flower and set them aside, wrap the cake in a few layers of plastic wrap, seal the wrapped cake in an airtight bag and put it in the freezer

12 Months Later
- celebrate your first anniversary in style
ask your designer to re-ice and redecorate if need be and enjoy a slice of this special cake with your beloved.
