Also, she was thinking about her wedding - "if this turns out alright, I might just have acrylic nails for the wedding instead of worrying about getting a manicure or having ugly nails during the honeymoon".
So she went and got herself long, red nails with rows of diamante at the tip.
What Little Ms Glamor didn't realise is that she has to pay a price for beauty (nope, we are not just talking about the price of those nails!).
Indeed, they look beautiful on those slender fingers of hers (although Mr T will beg to differ, adding that "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder"). He found it quite gawdy actually but was soon pleased to realise that it has prevented her from one of her most unglamorous vice - these long nails are not conducive for nose digging!
Soon, she realised the nails were preventing her from doing a lot more - she has problems typing on the keyboard, sending text messages on the phone, doing housework and even washing her hair (the list continues to grow every hour as she carries on with her daily life).
She begins to wonder - "why do women pay such a high price just to look good?"
